Second
Edition of
The Restoration Economy
An invitation from Storm:
I need your feedback! If you are expert in any of the
hundreds of component disciplines of restorative development and revitalization--and
if you have noticed an area of the book that needs updating or improvement--please email me your corrections, additions, and opinions!
I'll do my best to incorporate them into the Second Edition.
Much has happened since the first
edition was published--some of it as a result of that first
edition--so a thorough update will be in
order by Fall of 2007. It will be released at the Global
Revitalization Summit in Washington, DC in November of 2007
(watch the
Revitalization Institute News for the official announcement).
Among the most important changes in
the global restoration economy has been the emergence of the Revitalization
Institute (www.revitalizationinstitute.org):
the international association of restoration, remediation, &
redevelopment professionals. Their mission is to advance
restorative development of communities and natural resources
worldwide. They provide training, certification, and
communication for the business, government, academic, and scientific
professionals who specialize in revitalization.
The second edition of
The Restoration Economy will feature firms and
communities who have
won certification for their restorative development projects and
initiatives from
the
Revitalization
Institute.
